The Creation Story-interpretation of Day 1

Genesis 1:2-5, DAY 1 = SALVATION

The Creation Story

In the creation story of day 1: The earth was formless and void. Darkness was upon the face of the deep. The spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters and God said, “Let there be light” and there was light. God saw the light was good and He affirmed and sustained it and God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light day and the darkness He called night. There was evening and there was morning.

SPIRITUAL MEANING OF THE CREATION STORY IN DAY 1

Creation Story Day 1
  1. You are the earth and it is your soul without Jesus Christ that is “formless and void”.
  2. The face of the waters are the spirit within mankind.
  3. The Light is Jesus Christ and His righteousness.
  4. Darkness is the inadequacies that we as imperfect people have in the flesh.
  5. The light that is called day is you in righteousness of the Lord
  6. The darkness that is called night is us when we are outside of Jesus Christ.
  7. Evening is you as the lesser light in Christ Jesus and morning is Jesus Christ as the Light of the world.

DETAILED SPIRITUAL INTERPRETATION OF THE CREATION STORY DAY 1

Since our human nature is not capable of achieving sustainable good unless Jesus Christ is involved, in the course of time we destroy not only ourselves and those around us but also the environment to desolation.

Our human nature or rather the flesh is darkness. Jeremiah 4:23 I looked on the earth, and behold it was formless and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light.

However, God full of mercy and Grace, sees our suffering and struggle brought about by our own sin and He chooses to grant us salvation which is Jesus Christ. Hence “Let there be light”. John 1:4 in Him was life and the life was the Light of men.

The creation story day 1

When you see Him seeing the light being good, it means after you have been saved from your own ruin and eventually His wrath, you decide to keep His commandments and walk according to His ways, it pleases Him.

So He “affirms” as mentioned, that truly you’re now part of Him and decides to “sustain” you through the Holy Spirit that lives inside of anyone who is compatible with His nature.

Then He separates you from sin and anything that would pollute you- darkness.

Psalm 4:3 but know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself: the Lord hears when I call on Him.

Deuteronomy 14:2 For you are a Holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Thus “God separated the Light from darkness”.

Light

In a spiritual state, you are now compared to the day because of The Light that shines within you through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Hence, Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven”.

Sin together with all the pollutions of the world are compared to darkness which is called Night.

Darkness

Then you see evening and morning.

You cannot be brighter than the source of light if you even think about it logically?

Otherwise, this is what happened day one and this is what happens when you come to Jesus Christ in repentance and get baptised. As I have explained earlier and even explained baptism extensively before.

Day 1 is about the beginning of our salvation.

CONCLUSION OF THE CREATION STORY DAY 1

The scriptures are spirit and can only be understood in the spirit. While it is nice to look up and examine day and night, it is not expedient.

The day and night you see everyday, is here to daily remind us of salvation.

In the day, people are alive, freely walking around, socializing and going about their business. The same is with the salvation of the Lord it brings eternal freedom.

On the other hand at night, everybody from every social rank, both King and pauper, gets in their house and eventually sleeps only to rise up when morning comes. Even if you don’t sleep, you stay indoors until the morning comes. The same is with sin and walking in darkness. It puts all of us in bondage and we rise again-are set free, when the salvation of the Lord comes.

The day and night-evening and morning you see, is to remind you daily why you need Jesus Christ and why it is important to walk in the Light. You know He spoke in parables? Here He said, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. “But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

So day and night is two fold. The one in the creation story talks about your spirit and the one you see everyday, is a prophetic sign of what is coming.

The elements and everything in the world, were used to explain spiritual matters. As soon as you take a literal approach, you will be in error. You also cannot apply logic in the word of God. He says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”.

Even if He does not say it, it does not make sense to analyse what is Spiritual from a Physical angle. God is SPIRIT and He is approached in SPIRIT.

The scientists are doing a good job travelling to the galaxies to find meaning of the scriptures because we can see out there but in the grand scheme of things, the works are meaningless. The answers are not out there. They are in you and around you.

Other than that, when you are in Jesus Christ and you see people maligning, rejecting, ostracising, outcasting, persecuting and excluding you, don’t panic. Everything is okay, you’re on the right track and in fact rejoice. It’s not you, it’s not them, it’s Jesus Christ. He doesn’t unite first, He separates then He unites later.

You are under creation to eventually enter the sabbath rest.

Next up is day 2.

See you there.
