Creation Story of Genesis 1-Spiritual Meaning

Creation Story of Genesis 1-Spiritual Meaning
Creation Story of Genesis 1

The creation story of Genesis 1, is about Jesus Christ and the process of His salvation for mankind. Salvation being the means to justify the end which is righteousness. Us transforming to His likeness and image.

The process in between all of this, is what the creation story is narrating. When we are complete in righteousness, we rest in Him and God rests on the 7th day.

That’s why I formerly mentioned a sabbath day is two-fold. First it’s a day that is Holy to God for worship and secondly it defines your spiritual completion of righteousness in Christ Jesus our Lord and saviour.

All this works by faith in Him through grace and mercy from Him. Let’s look at this a bit deeper.

Creation Story Of Genesis 1
  • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Genesis 1:1.

As it says that, John 1:1-3 says:

in the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

All things came into being through Him and apart from Him, nothing came into being that has come into being.

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

The Light shines in darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Meaning, in the beginning Jesus already began His work before He came in the flesh.

John 10:30 says, I and the Father are one. The same way your soul and spirit is one and the same. So it is Him who was in the beginning.

Everything and everyone transforms from flesh to spirit through Him and without Him, none can transform to a spiritual state.

Those that He creates and remain in the flesh without transforming perish in the flesh without ever experiencing the spiritual.

Hence, “nothing came to being, that has come into being”.

Born mortal, you remain and die mortal without transforming to immortal because He is a life giving spirit and your flesh is a living soul.

Genesis 1

In chapter one what you see is the creation of the spirit and the flesh.

When you are spiritual you become heavenly and when you are in the flesh, you are earthly.

That is what the creation story of Genesis 1:1 means.

To back it up further, 1Corinthians 15:40-49 says:

there are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one and the glory of the earthy is another.

There is one glory of the sun and another glory of the moon. Another glory of the stars for stars differ from stars in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead.

It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body. It is sown in dishonour, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.

It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

So also it is written, the first man Adam became a Living soul (flesh-Earth) and the last Adam became a life giving spirit (spiritual-Heavenly). However, the spiritual is not first but the natural; then the spiritual.

(We cannot come to the heavenly state by ourselves because we have to transform to the spiritual through Jesus Christ who begins and finishes the work from the beginning).

The first man is from the earth, earthy and the second man from the heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy. As is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. Just as we are borne the image of the earthy, we also bear the image of the heavenly.

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; nor does the perishable the imperishable.

(Jesus foreknew this and so He began His preparation before manifesting in the flesh and before you were born. So that when you have transformed to the spirit, you have a place of belonging-Heavenly).

Behold I tell you a mystery, we will not all fall asleep but we will all be changed.

(Meaning we will not all die but we will all be changed, from the earthly to the heavenly-some for judgment and others back to where it all began).

The reason why not all will die is because Jesus who was in the beginning, is the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Him will live even if he dies.

So by faith there are people who are already in an immortal state spiritually even if they perish in the flesh.

At the same time, some of these immortal beings by Faith may never have to taste death. As Jesus said in Mathew 26:28 Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.

This He prepared from the beginning by creating Heaven and Earth.

Heaven and Earth

To come to Heaven from Earth, this is the key:

“Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit”.

Repent and get baptised.

Then, as you see in Genesis: you the earth formerly formless and empty (without the Life giving Spirit) with darkness over the surface of the deep (darkness in our fleshly soul) and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters (among the spirit of people), He will say the word “Let there be Light” that is you receiving the spirit of the Lord and there will be Light in your spirit and you will transform from the Earthly state to the Heavenly.

Then there will be a separation from Heaven and Earth.

This in itself, will be the beginning of your journey to transform to the likeness and Image of God.

That’s why I mentioned before saying I am not trying to convert anyone or convince about anything. I am also against proselytizing and judaizing people.

True servants of God will tell you, the people that come to them are brought by God and receive His word through God in His servants by His spirit.

It is not in the ability to interpret the word, speak or teach it that people come to the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is out of His glorious and magnificent bowels of Grace and Mercy that He, day by day, reconciles us to Himself.

We cannot come to Him, Believe in Him, Understand Him, Obey Him or Receive Him, without Him. You see even Faith in itself is A GIFT FROM GOD. On our own we cannot believe in Him.

That’s also why Jesus Christ told His disciples, when they will be rejected, it will be because they have rejected Him first.

So when God is involved, it is a huge privilege, honour and humbling experience. It is not a right.

All things came into being through Him and apart from Him, nothing came into being that has come into being.

Nobody comes to Jesus Christ, except God moves out of mercy and Grace to fetch you to Himself so to speak. Hence He says first “Let there be Light” after hovering over the spirits of people and choosing you in particular.

Otherwise, this is why you are told the story from the beginning. It’s about you, your journey of salvation to righteousness with the details of what you need to do within the scriptures.

Scattered around like a puzzle so that in your earnestness and diligence (caused by Him), you put it together and see the bigger picture. The picture of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Who was, is and is to come.

Now you know what the heaven and earth represent in Genesis 1.

Let’s talk later in the next article. We will go through each day. Like I said, I aim to encourage you to be patient with the Lord. Your becoming is not an immediate action, it is a process and a journey.

Otherwise, stop looking up when you read the story about heaven and earth.

Instead, look around you, at the sons of Light and the sons of Injustice. For the sons of Light are a representation of heaven and those of injustice are a representation of Earth.

Ones of Light are in the spirit and ones of injustice are in the Flesh and Jesus Christ is in the middle of it all. If you look close enough, you will see Him in everyone and in all things.

He appears to us according to the state of our hearts. That’s why it’s written: “To the faithful You show Yourself faithful, to the blameless You show Yourself blameless, to the pure You show Yourself pure, but to the crooked You show Yourself shrewd”.

This is also why I am warning you guys especially in the current dispensation, watch out how you are behaving towards people.

Especially you practitioners of craftiness. I will keep reminding you there is only one sin that will not be forgiven: an offence against the Holy Spirit.

When it comes to the “rejects” and “misfits”, the “poor”, “needy”, “fatherless”, “widow”, “orphans”, single parents and solitary individuals, “foreigners” and “sojourners”, those who are truthfully appointed in authority… TRADE CAREFULLY.

Jesus Christ is also known as I AM.

Treat people with respect and strive to be kind.

I am here to help you see things are not as they seem.

Other than that, because He is first, we are, keep becoming and every living thing is.

I say what a Glorious King of Kings and remarkable champion He is. I mean just the way He tells a story in simplicity but is very profound and talking about deep matters while at it, I JUST CANNOT FATHOM!!!

See you next…we will look at what Jesus Christ In His infinite wisdom did on Day 1.
